We are growing exponentially and are currently looking for Service Technicians to join our team in the Inverness Area. At Vestas, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills with the global leader in wind energy and contribute to a greener world.
The Service department is responsible for the service and maintenance of wind farms within the UK and Ireland. The department has an open and informal culture, where teamwork and good communication are key to our success. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting industry and in a team of highly motivated employees. You will be required to develop a detailed knowledge of our wind turbines to enable you to perform daily maintenance and other field service-related tasks.
Responsibilities
As a Service Technician, your primary tasks will include:
* Electrical and mechanical operations, including installation activities and the use of systems like Condition Monitoring / Remote Control.
* Working to the highest safety and environmental standards.
* Carrying out periodic service inspections in accordance with Vestas’ specifications.
* Collaborating with other technicians and supervisors in the field, while maintaining regular contact with office-based staff.
* Component replacement (both electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic) and troubleshooting of the systems.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should have:
* Proven experience in a mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic background.
* The ability to work at heights of up to 100 meters and in adverse weather conditions.
* Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
* A good level of computer literacy; familiarity with software and related applications.
* Previous accreditation as an AT/CT under WTSR would be advantageous.
* Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
* A collaborative spirit with good communication skills.
* A creative approach, self-motivation, and good organization.
* A commitment to the highest standards of health and safety in the work environment.

Additional Information
This position follows a Monday to Friday working schedule with one weekend in three on call. You may also be asked to support other regions as required by the business.
