An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Norwich Medical School Team based at the James Paget University Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, team-centric individual to join our friendly & supportive team.
Working in a busy environment, you will undertake a variety of tasks ranging from administrative and clinical skills setup to engaging with volunteers, students, and medical professionals.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to:
1. Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Norwich Medical School, UEA, including creating basic timetables and organising structured clinics, which will involve canvassing volunteer patients for all specialties.
2. Provide technical support to educational events and examinations within the Norwich Medical School, UEA.
3. Support the Norwich Medical Students when on site.
The ideal candidate will be well organised with a high attention to detail, have a professional and approachable manner, and possess excellent communication skills. You should be able to work under pressure, with a flexible approach to a varied and demanding workload, and be able to work as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential.

Person Specification
Education and qualifications
* 5 GCSE's including English and Maths at Grade C or above (or equivalent)
* Excellent keyboard skills, minimum RSA Level 2, CLAIT or equivalent
Experience and knowledge
* Good administrative skills, evidenced by previous experience in an administrative role
* Evidence of delivering excellent customer service
* Experience in an educational and/or health environment
Skills
* Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with patients and staff at all levels, including sensitively, tactfully, assertively, or persuasively as required.
* Good organisation skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting workloads and to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Ability to work as part of a team providing support for colleagues as and when required.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
