I am currently working with a college based in Derbyshire that is seeking a Machinist Mechanical Engineering Lecturer on a full-time permanent basis.
The college is ideally looking for someone who has previous training experience within Education; however, they are still open to considering Machinist industry specialists looking to make the move into Education.
Requirements
* Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering; it is desirable to hold an HNC/HND or degree but not essential.
* Have industry experience working within the field and be able to operate Milling, Turning, Fitting & CNC machinery.
* A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.
* Experience within renewables or a willingness to learn and upskill.
* Previous experience training or instructing in the workshop.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students from a range of backgrounds.
* A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning, and to supporting students to achieve their full potential.
* Hold the right to work in the UK.

* This role will be eligible for the new Government Levelling Up Premium Payments for Further Education (FE) teachers if you are in your first 5 years of teaching within FE. These payments range from £2,000 to £6,000 for the academic year 2025.
