This position is for 18.5 hours a week: Monday 08.45 - 17.15 Tuesday 08.45 - 17.15 Wednesday 08.45 - 12.15 Successful applicants will work as part of a team, supporting children and families across the county through the delivery of high-quality business support services. Duties will involve a range of tasks including the monitoring of admin mailboxes, distribution of correspondence and reports, records management, meeting administration and detailed recording of complex meetings within strict timescales, financial transactions and input of information to the Case Management System. Whilst the location/work base for these roles has been specified, our evolving ways of working means that the role may require you to work remotely (e.g. from home/other locations). We work flexibly to most effectively support the people, services and organisations that we support and will discuss this with you during the recruitment process. We attend the office on a rota basis and when business need requires this. There will be a requirement to assist with the delivery of business support within our core business hours. This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies. This position will be subject to a standard criminal record disclosure check. What you will need to succeed: Applicants should have 4 GCSEs (A-C), or equivalent, including English and Maths and have excellent keyboard skills. Experience of working in an office environment would be an advantage. Comprehensive training will be given and once established in the role, opportunities for career development will be available. You will have good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise appropriately with all levels of staff, service users and other agencies. A professional approach, applying discretion and diplomacy is essential. We also require flexibility and the ability to enjoy the challenge of working within a busy team environment, producing good quality, accurate outputs while working to deadlines.
