Job Title: PE Cover Supervisor Location: Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 Pay Rate: £100 - £120 per day A secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a PE Cover Supervisor for a long-term position, supporting the Physical Education department. This role will involve working with teachers and school staff to ensure effective classroom management and support for students during PE lessons, particularly for those with SEND requirements. Responsibilities: Oversee PE lessons in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on task Support students 1:1 or in small groups to accommodate individual learning needs, including those with EHCPs Facilitate a safe and positive environment by managing behaviour in line with school policies Adapt and prepare resources for lessons, ensuring accessibility for all students Collaborate with PE teachers and SEND staff to promote inclusive learning and support student progress Requirements: Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a school environment Familiarity with PE or sports coaching, with the ability to adapt activities for students with varying physical abilities Strong classroom management skills and a proactive approach to behaviour support Knowledge of EHCPs, SEND strategies, and behaviour management techniques Opogo benefits: Opogo Education is the alternative to supply teaching agencies.
