We are now accepting applications for our Graduate Sports Assistant programme
If you have a passion for sport and are keen to experience life working at a busy co-education boarding school, then becoming a Graduate Assistant at Marlborough College could be for you. Joining us for an academic year, you will be immersed in the life of a busy boarding school with a salary package that includes accommodation and all meals during term-time, but more importantly, offers a fantastic opportunity and fulfilling experience.
Marlborough’s vibrant community of Graduate Assistants are an invaluable part of College life, supporting pupils with activities beyond the classroom. A key element of this rewarding opportunity is to encourage and mentor pupils on and off campus, ensuring that their health, safety, and welfare are protected.
As well as coaching sport in the afternoons and on match days, you will be a key member of the Exercise & Sports Science department and will take a leading role in some aspects of lessons.
We are looking for Graduates who have either a specialism directly relevant to sport/physical education or who have played sport to a high standard. The successful candidates will be energetic, enthusiastic, have a natural rapport with young people, as well as a genuine interest in, and commitment to, their care and development.
Further information about the role may be obtained by email from the Director of Sport, Mrs. Rebe Horton, or the Deputy Head Co-curriculum & Outreach, Mr. Jimmy Scragg.

As our current school year progresses, we get a better understanding of our needs for the next year, and we will then reach out to the applicants whose skillsets match that profile.
Interviews may be offered throughout the recruitment period, up to and including the period following the closure of the role.
We do reserve the right to close this advertisement early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications.
If you would like to know a bit more about this opportunity or are considering applying, then please read the following job information.
Marlborough College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and the College is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
