About the Role The role of a Copywriter is exciting, collaborative and creative. You will have a big influence on how we develop our MWC brand and tone of voice across a wide variety of channels. Key responsibilities & accountabilities: • Understand regional content trends and channels and be able to help the rest of the team learn about key communication differences to a MENA audience. • Work with the Sales Team, Marketing Directors and Business Partners to unlock the business value of content, collaborating with them on the copy needed to achieve their short and long-term objectives. • Create both long and short form copy and messaging collateral (messaging matrix, style guide, etc) for email, social, video and web channels. • Bring a fresh but premium tone to our corporate content. • Create and manage original, persuasive and conceptually compelling work for a variety of campaigns and internal stakeholders. • Listen to and respond to briefs, question where there are gaps and show initiative in researching information to support the brief, including speaking with stakeholders and desk research. • Be happy to create functional, hard-working copy and be comfortable amending, revising or redeveloping copy in response to feedback. • Create cohesive working relationships and integrated deliverables with other marketing team members and across the business. About You • Extensive agency-side experience or working for a B2B or event brand in the area of copywriting. • Have a strong portfolio with memorable copy that stands out from the crowd and shows an understanding of Middle Eastern audiences, culture and trends. • A talent for prioritising work and capable of handling multiple projects at once, working effectively to set, communicate and meet deadlines. • A love for brand storytelling and tone of voice development • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines. • A varied background including print and digital. • A positive attitude and willingness to pass on your knowledge and experience. • Experience of creating and editing visual assets and video scriptwriting and podcast experience is a plus. • Have a drive to break boundaries and craft the best ideas of their kind in the world. • Know the difference between how to optimise copy for search, social and email.
