Role: Project Architect
About Ambue:
Ambue is an innovative, multi-disciplinary climate consultancy business, dedicated to improving the safety, quality and sustainability of social housing in the UK. We are however, at our core, architects who are supported by an inhouse coding team, developing our own software solutions and energy modelling tools to streamline and automate Retrofit projects in the social housing sector. Our business includes a focus on R&D, supported by Innovate UK grants, and we iterate rapidly to provide cutting edge professional retrofit consultancy services to Landlords and their Principal Contractors.
Founded in 2020 by architects, our team now includes conservation architects, retrofit coordinators, retrofit assessors, energy assessors, BIM modelers, data engineers, and software engineers. We are a growing consultancy and are seeking multiple Project Architects to deliver exciting new retrofit projects.
Ambue is a place for built environment professionals to discover new career avenues and explore the challenging world of retrofit. All stakeholders from building owners through to the end user rely on the specialist advice from a diverse group of professionals that bring with them a broad range of skills and experience. Ambue provides design solutions that lead to positive change for so many in urgent need.
We collaborate with Housing Associations and Local Authorities to deliver PAS 2035 retrofit for social housing landlords, primarily under the Warm Homes and Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund. Our focus is on identifying and rectifying disrepair, damp, and mould, enhancing indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and resident comfort to make homes healthy. A remote-first business model with staff located throughout the UK, supported by teams from different parts of the world. We use MS Teams to keep in very close contact with each other and regularly convene in person as an organisation for conferences and workshops.
