Business Development Manager

We are now looking for a passionate and driven Business Development Manager to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will:

· Drive growth in branded corporate gifts sales, managing the process from inquiry to order completion, and ensuring excellent service

The Role
Reporting directly to the M.D, the ideal candidate will have experience in corporate gifting, sales or account management, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. You will work closely to bring partnerships to life and meet clients’ objectives. You will need to be results-driven, with a strong focus on securing new revenue streams, nurturing long-term partnerships, and delivering exceptional service to clients. This role will require a mix of strategic thinking and hands on execution.
Key Responsibilities
· Sales Strategy Execution - Define and execute sales strategies for all year round corporate gifting and the festive season, focusing on both short-term wins and long-term,
sustainable growth.
· New Business Development - Proactively identify and develop new partnership opportunities. Build a pipeline of prospective clients and drive business growth in line with Carabella’s strategic goals.
· Client Relationship Management - Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded. Act as the primary point of contact for key clients throughout the lifecycle of the partnership.
· Proposal Development and Pitching - Develop tailored proposals and pitch presentations that speak directly to clients’ business objectives. Lead negotiations and manage the full contract lifecycle, from initial pitch through to client signature and activation.
· Develop an in-depth understanding of our product range, including features, benefits, and customization options, to effectively communicate value to clients.
* Prepare accurate, competitive, and customized quotes for corporate gifting clients based on their branding and budget requirements, and work closely with suppliers to source pricing, availability and budget requirements
* Client Satisfaction & Retention - Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by delivering top-tier service, resolving any issues in real-time, and identifying opportunities for ongoing business development
· Internal Collaboration - Work alongside the procurement and warehouse team to ensure the smooth activation of partnerships and drive maximum value for clients.
Experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided for the right person
· Experience within a Business Development, Sales or a Commercial role
· A proven track record in driving revenue, managing partnerships, and building strong client relationships
· Experience in a CRM system and sales tracking tools is desirable but not essential
· Interest in the gifting sector
Key Requirements
· Must be energetic, self-motivated and able to work independently to exceed assigned goals
· Commercial background would be an advantage but not essential
· Excellent verbal and written communication
· Excellent interpersonal skills, work cross-functionally within the organisation and thrive in a collaborative environment
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

· Salary: £29-32k depending on experience

Hours
37.5 hours a week 9am – 4.30pm, Monday – Friday.

You will need to be located within a commutable distance to our warehouse and office in Romsey, Hampshire
