My Client is seeking an experienced Branch Manager from an Industrial Doors / Engineering background, capable of managing and running a Branch. £K Excellent Negotiable Salary, Car, pension and exec benefits.
Job Description
My Client has been in business since 1966 and is a major independent company specialising in the manufacture, installation, maintenance and repair of all types of Industrial Doors, Steel Fabrication, Industrial Roofing and Lift Gates and Shutters. They have branches in Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and Hertford. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Branch Manager, ideally with a background in industrial door engineering to run their Manchester branch.
Responsibilities
1. Overall accountability for the running of the branch and reporting to directors on current performance and future plans.
2. Oversee Accounts Department and be responsible for monthly and annual P&L and maintaining acceptable margins on turnover.
3. Oversee operations both factory and field service and liaise with sales and project management staff to ensure that sufficient labour is allocated to jobs to ensure successful completion to satisfaction of customers.
4. Liaise with foremen and be hands on enough to know strengths and weaknesses of workforce and allocating correct men to jobs both in and out of normal working hours.
5. Ensure provision of suitable plant and transport to carry out the contracts and liaise with directors to obtain necessary capital investment.
6. Oversee internal and external sales staff and ensure that sufficient and suitable contracts are obtained at a price acceptable to our P&L targets.
7. Ensure contracts are carried out in an organised and profitable manner.
8. Identify and promote potential areas of expansion.
9. Overall accountability for the promotion of health and safety, quality and environmental practices.
10. Responsible for HR Management, recruiting, training, developing and disciplining of employees as necessary.
11. Monitoring individual employee performance and incentivising as appropriate.
Experience
1. At least 3 years management experience, preferably within the industrial door/engineering industry.
2. Excellent people management skills with the ability to develop and manage a team.
3. Ability to build strong professional relationships with customers.
4. Ability to communicate with people at all levels.
5. Full driving licence.
The Branch Manager will have the full backing of the board who will make themselves available with expert advice on accounts, operations and sales as required.
