Applicants should meet the following criteria:
1. GCE/GCSE’s subjects to include English Language
2. Word Processing/RSA II
3. 1 year part qualification RSA Part I
4. Typing skills (WP/RSA/PC Literate)
5. Ability to deal with sensitive issues with empathy and the ability to generate rapport with individuals rapidly
6. This role is for a fully trained, experienced medical secretary.
Duties of this role include:
7. To provide the highest possible standard of secretarial and clerical support, ensuring that the service is professional, effective and makes optimum use of the resources available
8. Provide secretarial support to Consultants, clients and hospital staff
9. Ensure that typed documentation is of the highest standard
10. Maintain accurate documentation and files
11. Communicate effectively/timely all verbal and written messages, responding to urgent requests
12. Closely liaise with bookings/admissions office regarding requests via Consultants for patient admissions
13. Collate information as required/requested
14. Answer and respond to telephone enquiries
