Job Summary
I am seeking a passionate, creative, and highly skilled Pastry Chef to join the team. You will be responsible for producing high-end patisserie, afternoon teas, plated desserts, and bespoke baked goods that reflect the luxury and quality our guests expect. Working alongside a team of talented chefs, you will help develop seasonal menus, maintain impeccable standards, and bring artistic flair to every creation.
Key Responsibilities
* Create, prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods to a consistently high standard.
* Oversee all patisserie operations, ensuring quality, hygiene, and consistency.
* Design seasonal dessert menus and collaborate on afternoon tea and event menus.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards.
* Manage ordering, inventory, and cost control for pastry ingredients.
* Train, mentor and develop junior pastry staff.
* Liaise with front-of-house and events teams to ensure timely service and bespoke offerings for weddings, functions, and VIP guests.
* Innovate with modern and classic techniques to deliver memorable guest experiences.
Skills & Requirements
* Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end or luxury hospitality environment.
* Formal culinary or patisserie qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
* Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary pastry techniques.
* Creative flair and a passion for presentation and precision.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Calm under pressure with the ability to multitask during busy services.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Flexibility to work shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
