We are currently recruiting for an Health and Safety Advisor to join a well established and growing national company. You will be at the heart of the business who understands commercial aspects along with reaching health and safety to a high standards. You will provide Health and Safety advice - reporting to the Director and the group SHEQ Manager. You will promote a safety culture, working towards zero harm goals. This is an exciting role where you will take ownership and make a difference to the organisation.
Day to day of the Health and Safety Advisor:
* Maintaining the current excellent health and safety standards but also elevating them.
* Improving current training and onboarding for the engineers to ensure they are compliant.
* Ensuring all tickets are up to date for engineers, keeping a track record of them to ensure you book regular training in if required.
* Completing internal audits 5/6 times a year to health and safety standards.
* Completing external Audits for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
* Going onsite with the engineers roughly 3 times a month and completing site audits to ensure engineers are compliant.
* Keeping the building in line with health and safety standards such as fire sprinklers, fire doors, fire alarms etc.
* Having a commercial minded approach to the business ensuring you are mapping out when certain requirements are needed with notice.
* Completing a monthly health and safety meeting with senior management and engineers to ensure the business is kept up to date.
Requirements:
* Has strong SHEQ exposure.
* NEBOSH and IOSH accredited
* Experience of completing audits for ISO 9001/14001/45001
* Have a commercially minded head
* Achilles Certification (desirable)
