Framework is a charity delivering housing, health, employment, support and care services to people with a diverse range of needs across the East Midlands. Edwin House: Specialist care. We are a 41 bed CQC registered residential care setting, that specialise in providing 24-hour person centred care and support for individuals with current or historic alcohol dependency syndrome and or substance use. The service is comprised of two residential accommodations the first of which residents are working towards recovery and abstinence, the other residents have already achieved abstinence on their recovery pathway but have continuing care and support needs. We provide a non-judgmental trauma informed approach to delivering care to those with severe multiple disadvantage We are looking for a new member of the team to deliver a catering service for service users, providing healthy and varied meals within given resources. Duties & Responsibilities To prepare meals, Breakfast, lunch dinner and supper sandwiches. To prepare meals that meet our residents person-centred nutritional requirements and in line with CQC regulations. Ensure that any health & safety legislation, regulation and Framework rules in connection with health & safety are applied. Contribute to the preparation of rolling menus based on fresh seasonable products, cultural and dietary needs and service user choice. Actively participate in effective team working within the catering service. Assist and cover for colleagues when they are absent. Suggest ways to improve the job. Follow lone working procedures. Skills & Experience Experienced cook with a minimum of 1 years experience. (Desirable though not essential) Able to plan, prepare & serve varied, interesting and healthy menus. NVQ level 2 or equivalent in cooking & food preparation. ( or willing to achieve this qualification went in post) An assertive and confident communicator.
