Working options | office-based with optional rotational remote working in line with divisional requirements / office based Working pattern | full time Working hours | 37.5 (Monday – Friday) hours per week Reports to | Membership Team Lead What we’re looking for: We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about delivering excellent customer service, as you’ll be converting inbound calls and emails into memberships. As part of a small team, you’ll also be good at building effective working relationships. Being a Membership Officer involves working to agreed time scales when responding to membership enquiries so having the ability to plan and organise your workload is essential. You’ll need to have excellent attention to detail as you’ll be dealing with membership amendments, cancellations, and refund requests. The ability to communicate clearly and precisely is also required as you’ll be dealing with compliance issues such as members not meeting the membership criteria or chasing renewal payments. You’ll have extensive knowledge of working in a multi-channel contact centre environment as you’ll be dealing with enquiries that comes through the phone, email and post. Some of the things you'll get up to: Acting as first point of contact for members and prospective members including making sure packs are sent and replying to emails Onboarding new members and related administration Proactively contacting abandoned registrations, other leads and members for renewal Responding to member, consumer and other interested parties who have compliance related enquiries Liaising with the internal Compliance team Attending trade shows and other events on behalf of all schemes as and when required As sector leaders in the private rented sector, we expect all teammates to keep up to date with what is happening in the property market generally We’d like you to have: Experience in the property sector especially the private rented sector, will be useful but not essential An excellent level of written and verbal communication along with good numerical skills Drive and self-determination with the ability to find and implement solutions to problems Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and the ability to learn new systems and processes as needed Benefits: 23 days holiday UK bank holidays Life assurance Private health care for you and dependents Employee assistance programme, including GP line, cashback for treatments, advice line Season ticket loan Rental deposit loan Annual leave purchase scheme As part of the HFIS Group, access to discounted personal insurance is available At HFIS we value development and progression of all our people and so we also offer financial support for studying towards professional qualifications plus study time.
