We are looking for an experienced Nurse/Midwife/AHP to support the delivery and implementation of education projects to support learners and the future workforce of LTHT. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting all learners across LTHT, including Student Nursing Associates, Transfer to Nursing students, and our unregistered workforce.
The role will include supporting learners in clinical areas to achieve their clinical educational competencies and to promote the application of theoretical learning into practice. You will liaise with the wider education team and clinical areas to promote an effective learning environment for learners, providing support, education, and reviews.
To apply, candidates must be a registered healthcare professional and hold a recognised teaching/assessing qualification. We are looking for staff with significant post-registration experience, which includes the delivery of education and training within clinical areas.

Main Duties of the Job
You will play an essential role in supporting the corporate workforce and education team and Clinical Service Units by facilitating education, training, and practice development to establish a high standard of education for all registered and unregistered healthcare practitioners and learners.
You will work in partnership with nursing, midwifery, and allied health professionals and clinical educators across inter-professional disciplines to plan and facilitate educational programmes. You will be responsible for the organisation and delivery of practical and theoretical clinical training programmes to support the attainment of clinical competencies in the clinical area.
The Student Nursing Associate and Apprentice Nursing programmes are delivered in partnership with the universities across the Leeds placement circuits. You will be responsible for ensuring placements meet governance outcomes and use leadership skills to liaise with the universities and placement areas, including providing placements to external candidates.
The job holder will support the development of interdisciplinary and cross-organisational working to ensure the sharing of good practice and delivery of high-quality, effective, and efficient care, leading and promoting audits, presenting findings, and making suggestions to service delivery.
The job holder will be going into clinical areas and providing hands-on clinical supervision to registrants.

The post holder will, in the first instance, support the delivery of educational programmes across Leeds Teaching Hospitals. This will include supporting learners in their clinical areas to achieve a high level of clinical care through the practice and attainment of clinical educational competencies, and through the application of theory into practice.
This will include the planning of programmes, teaching, implementing service delivery, and improvements where needed to meet governing bodies and best practice guidelines standards.
The post holder will work with healthcare practitioners, which may include newly qualified and experienced registered staff, and unregistered staff that may be new to care, across LTHT.
There will also be the opportunity to be involved in other workforce and education projects within the team to shape the future of our workforce.
