The Opportunity
Prospero Teaching are looking for a SEND Tutor in Guildford to deliver tuition on a 1:1 basis to a young person with complex special educational needs.
The tutor will be providing 1:1 support to a pupil in the Guildford area that is currently seeking education other than at school. The tuition will involve delivery of Maths and English and the tutor will be expected to conduct a baseline assessment to assess the student's ability and then deliver the curriculum they deem suitable.
The pupil has complex SEN and is working below age-related expectations. A Primary specialist with experience across Key Stages would be essential in order to bridge the gaps in their learning and enhance their KS2 knowledge.
The support will be taking place at the young persons house or in a local library on a part-time basis (up to 25 hours per week).
As an SEN Tutor, you must be able to create, plan and deliver tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupil's education and boost attainment levels. You may be an experienced teacher or have significant experience working with children in a therapeutic way to support their needs through previous SEN specialist positions.
