About the role…
We are now looking for a talented Strategic Pricing Specialist to join our team. As the Strategic Pricing Specialist, your role will be to create, maintain and continually develop MRN’s business development systems, tools and applications to meet the changing needs of the business. This focusses on the pricing tools required to generate budgets across the organisation, incorporating new services, and proactively partnering with key stakeholders to ensure required updates are actioned. To act as the pricing tools and systems SME and point of contact for support within the Proposals and Pricing department and other cross functional departments.
Responsibilities include:
* Creation, maintenance and continual development of budget MRN budget templates
* Strategic input into the pricing strategies covered in our pricing tools to enhance commercially positioning in line with corporate objectives
* Partnering with key stakeholders to identify improvements and changes to meet operational and commercial requirements.
* Identifying opportunities to streamline departmental processes and continuously develop the budget tools and templates.
* Proactively support, and coach Senior/Proposal & Pricing Associates and other internal stakeholders as appropriate
* Close collaboration with operational and finance teams to maintain the feedback loop between RFP stage budget generation and project actualization.
* Support strategic discussions for the creation and implementation of client-specific discount and rebate schemes as needed.
* Capturing and applying changes to existing budget assumptions, including data gathering and analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to determine appropriate changes
* Updating vendor rates and vendor spot rates and internal /exchange rates as supplied by Finance and Vendor Management
* Training of all relevant stakeholders for each major release, plus ongoing training for new hires in key operational roles.
Experience:
* Degree in legal, life science, pharmacy, nursing or relevant discipline.
* Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Clinical Trial Methodology (CTM)
* Prior experience of creating, maintaining and continuously developing effective budget templates, within a CRO or sponsor organisation
* Knowledge and experience of multiple budget templates from within a clinical research environment
* Prior sales and or proposal writing experience from within the arena would be highly beneficial.
* Competent user of MS Office and intermediate level of MS Excel.
