Russell Taylor is working exclusively with a leading IVD - Medical Devices company who are growing their sales team and looking to appoint an experienced hunter within managed services (i.e NHS); this is a great time to join this team as the company is innovating at a rapid pace, with exciting partnerships being set up & the product range at the forefront of the healthcare industry.
The Role:
1. Managing a core territory as determined by the Sales Manager to deliver agreed sales and profitability targets.
2. Attaining annual sales to pre-defined sales targets within the territory by growing the number of products sold to each customer and increasing the number of customers.
3. Producing accurate, reliable market information to determine the potential profitability of introducing new products.
4. Communicating market intelligence on customer needs and competitor activity.
5. Working closely with other departments within the client's business, including Marketing, R&D, and Customer Services.
6. Owning, managing, keeping up to date, and ensuring all appropriate databases, particularly the CRM system, are accurate.
7. Rigorously complying with all appropriate procedural documents.
8. Pro-actively developing, monitoring, and managing customer accounts.
9. Networking with customers and prospects at specialist meetings, forums, and presentations.
10. Being proactive in quotation opportunities, managing electronic quotes, and invitations to tenders (ITT), ensuring responses are timely and meet standards.
11. Attending exhibitions and demonstrations as required.
12. Delivering territory-based sales campaigns and achieving planned new sales.
13. Contributing to a highly motivated sales team by actively networking within the team and participating in all sales and company events.
The Person:
1. Educated to Degree level in a life science related industry (ideally Microbiology) or STEM related with relevant experience.
2. Must have sold into MANAGED SERVICES and be familiar with the process, ideally within the NHS, VMD or similar.
3. Looking for hunters with an appetite for new business development, proven experience winning contracts and retaining business.
4. Understanding of clinical diagnostic methodologies with practical experience working in a micro lab is ideal.
5. Must have a valid (clean) UK driving licence.
6. Willingness to travel and/or stay overnight when required.
7. Strong IT literacy skills (Microsoft applications) and use of CRM systems.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required (telephone, face-to-face, etc).
