Job summary
Across the sites of Barking and Dagenham, Havering, and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust (BHRUT), we are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist with a special interest in Orthopaedics to join our friendly and highly skilled team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and support staff on a full-time basis. The post will include rotations in trauma, community, and elective inpatients. The successful candidate will be able to provide a high standard of physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for their patients, as well as having excellent communication skills. The post involves close working with the MDT to provide evidence-based patient-centred care in a variety of settings. In return, you will receive regular supervision and support, as well as training and career development opportunities. We are a dynamic and driven service, with lots of opportunities for involvement in service development as we work towards the goal of establishing the best care and treatment for our patients throughout their journey at BHRUT. The post will include weekend and twilight working.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide a high standard of physiotherapy service, as determined by your area of speciality, facilitating and maximising patient potential within the service boundaries.
2. To fulfil a teaching and supervisory role with peers, Band 5 staff, and students on placement.

Essential
* Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
* HCPC Registration

* Clinical supervisors training
Skills/Abilities
Essential
* Ability to organise, prioritise and delegate.
* Ability to work without supervision.
* Ability to communicate complex and sensitive information (Verbal, non-verbal and written) in an accurate, clear, and logical manner.
* Ability to cope working in a stressful environment and with emotional or aggressive patients, family and carers.
* Ability to meet travel demands of the job.
Desirable
* Competent IT skills.
Experience/Knowledge
Essential
* To have at least 1 year of broad clinical experience during junior rotations in an acute hospital setting.
Desirable
* To have 2 years of broad clinical experience during junior rotations or equivalent including orthopaedics.
* Active participation in in-service training.
