Senior Continuous Improvement Manager £70k – £80k Kent This is a highly rewarding role, where you are involved in driving positive change for the business through collaboration with different functions – Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Technical, Health and Safety and Finance to name a few As Continuous Improvement Manager you will be part of an influential senior team facilitating change across this fast-paced food manufacturing site involved in key projects that will make a difference to both the people and the business. There is a strong platform for CI development at this site and they have a pipeline of process improvement projects. They are looking for a leader in CI to evaluate and identify the key areas of focus and to agree a plan and prioritise those in collaboration with the key stakeholders.As a Senior Continuous Improvement specialist, you will need to understand process, factory kit and how to work closely with the teams on the shop floor to drive sustainable improvements in OEE. A confident communicator, you can engage and collaborate at all levels across multiple disciplines to ensure the site teams embrace the necessary improvement initiatives. You would be joining a major food/FMCG manufacturer that can add to your CI career through further training and investment together with a clear career path into future potential Group roles. The Senior Continuous Improvement Manager role responsibilities are: Identify step changes required in the operation to enable it to go from good to great and to put together the project plans. To evaluate the data and identify the right opportunities that deliver improvements across the manufacturing unit and facilitate team performance. Work alongside the Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain Management team to develop and enhance more efficient processes. Able to get into the detail of the daily challenges to identify bottlenecks, current and future potential issues. Implement cross functional teams to ensure engagement in the change process across all factory teams. Ensure key impact areas are highlighted, and resources are engaged in these areas to drive change. Be seen as the expert and the go to on all CI and process improvement projects Process map the site to enable further efficiencies are unlocked within current parameters. Reporting into the Site Director, you would be joining a strong senior management team. What does your background look like? Continuous Improvement background or Factory Management with a keen interest in CI in the food industry or FMCG. A detailed understanding of manufacturing KPI’s and customer expectations in target driven environments. Team focused – proven successes in collaborative cultures. You have seen the benefits of CI in operation and witnessed the improvements delivered.Those experiences will help bring to life what can be done, making a difference to engagement and buy in for the step changes in process, behaviours and ultimately culture. Project management skills – you are comfortable in factory environments and around production teams. Investigative in nature you are able to combine this with project planning in a fast paced production facility. You are self-motivated, able to drive your own agenda and reprioritise effectively working autonomously. Clear ‘common sense’ communicator both in written and verbal form. Proven abilities as a coach, a driver, a motivator who generates ideas.
