Our client is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to come and join their talented people-centric HR team, working 3 days per week (Wednesday- Friday). Working across the full employment life cycle, advising and guiding on a range of people matters.
Our client really knows how to look after their employees; this is a real generalist role and will have you supporting, nurturing, and developing managers, advising on processes and procedures in an environment that is continuously improving. You will also get involved in employee well-being and engagement, recruitment, people development, performance management, and any other employee relations matters.

What you will be doing:
* First point of contact for general HR queries – providing high-quality, effective, and consistent advice and guidance to the wider business.
* Support line managers with people matters, covering the full employment life cycle, including recruitment, people development, employee well-being and engagement, performance management, flexible working, and employee relations.
* Offer ER advice to line managers, including support for investigations, disciplinary, grievance, and capability issues. If necessary, escalating complex cases to the HR Manager.
* Support effective absence management – provide guidance on best practice and procedures, including occupational health referrals and support for return-to-work.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation. Draft and review letters and other relevant documents as necessary.
* Provide reports on key people metrics, analyze data to identify trends and recommend proactive measures.
* Support Team Leaders and Managers with developing and enhancing their people management knowledge and skills – offering coaching and ensuring appropriate training is delivered.
* Contribute to the HR strategy through the delivery of HR projects and initiatives.
What we are looking for:
* CIPD level 5 or equivalent and a good understanding of employment law.
* Proven experience in HR advisory roles, including ER experience / hands-on generalist role.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
* Knowledge and confidence to coach and train others on people management approaches and procedures.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Highly organized and able to manage a varied workload, prioritizing time efficiently and working effectively as part of a team.
* High integrity with a high level of discretion and diligence at all times concerning protecting and processing sensitive and confidential employee data and information.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and familiarity with HR technology and systems.
* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
* Flexible and adaptable to support a range of departments and functions within the business.
* Mental Health First Aid qualification – preferred.
The role is office-based; however, there is some flexibility to work from home (up to 1 day per week) when appropriate.
