We are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a growing FMCG & manufacturing business based in Ellesmere Port, who are seeking to appoint an experienced Interim Head of Finance / Financial Controller for an initial 12-month contract. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced SME environment and is ready to take ownership of the finance function during an exciting period of growth.

Salary/Benefits:

* £70,000 - £80,000 per annum
* 12-month contract
* Hybrid working - 3 days a week on the Wirral

Job Duties:

1. Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring the smooth operation of all financial processes and procedures.
2. Prepare and deliver year-end statutory accounts, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
3. Oversee monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasting, and budgeting processes.
4. Act as a key business partner, providing financial insights and strategic advice to the leadership team to support decision-making and business growth.
5. Implement and improve financial controls, policies, and systems to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
6. Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and banks.
7. Ensure compliance with VAT, payroll, and other tax-related obligations.
