Falkirk Champions Board are seeking applicants from a care experienced background (this means you have been in foster, residential, kinship or secure care) for a Champions board trainee post. The post will be 18.5 hours per week, with a flexible working pattern. The post holder will work as part of a multi-agency team.
Whilst no formal experience is necessary, a knowledge of microsoft packages and being competent in using them and social media would be preferred. We expect you to have the ability to use your initiative, have a caring outlook and the ability to work well with colleagues and young people. Also, knowledge of youth issues and recent experience of the care system would be an advantage.
The post will support young people who have social, emotional and/or learning needs, to participate in Falkirk Champions Board activities both at a local and national level.
This is a trainee post which is funded by the The Whole Family Well Being Fund, and is temporary for 18 months.
