At Church & Dwight UK Ltd, we are a leading manufacturer of personal care products, including renowned brands like Batiste dry shampoo, Femfresh intimate wash, and Arm & Hammer toothpaste. As a vital member of our procurement team, you will assist and support the general procurement (GP) team with projects and daily operational activities. Your contributions will help develop effective business partnerships with suppliers and internal customers, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of procurement processes. Key duties include: • Contract and Supplier Management : Assist in drafting contracts, negotiating commercial terms with suppliers, and managing the commercial relationship with external suppliers. • Project RFQs and Cost-Saving Initiatives : Carry out Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for projects using e-sourcing software and work on departmental cost-saving projects. • Project Meetings and Updates : Represent the procurement department in project meetings, providing updates on price, lead time, and associated costs. • Data Analysis and Reporting : Support the GP Procurement Manager in tracking and monitoring commodity indices, creating graphs, and using Excel formulas for data analysis. • Quality and Risk Management : Manage packaging and raw material rejects and complaints, oversee COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) recovery, and communicate potential risks to deliveries. • Supplier Performance and Budgeting : Participate in supplier performance management and reviews, assist with annual budget cost setting, and maintain supplier pricing and conditions in SAP. The ideal candidate will have an academic background and/or previous experience in procurement, experience in end-to-end supply chain and SRM processes, and proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and SAP or similar ERP systems. You should possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and project management experience. The candidate must be a self-motivated team player, adaptable to change, and committed to continuous improvement. Knowledge of procurement methodologies, practical application experience, and an understanding of strategic and commercial business goals are essential. This role will also include some travel within the UK and Europe.
