About the Crown Prosecution Service

Our proceeds of crime division is a specialist unit dedicated to asset recovery. We support the government’s aim to substantially reduce levels of serious and organised crime, working with criminal justice partners to disrupt offending and prevent investment into further criminal activity.
About the role
As a senior crown prosecutor in our proceeds of crime division, you work with criminal justice partners to investigate money and assets obtained through crime. Your role is largely office-based, reviewing evidence and applying for confiscation, restraint and enforcements orders in the magistrates’ and Crown Court. You provide legal advice and explain our decisions to police, counsel, judiciary and victims of crime, helping to maintain public confidence in our work.
About you
We’re looking for qualified barristers and solicitors with in-depth knowledge of the principles of criminal law. You must have experience of managing litigation with multiple parties, and dealing with incomplete or conflicting evidence. Confidence working with numerical data, drafting legal documents and conducting legal research is essential. Experience of serious criminal casework including proceeds of crime, and of delivering presentations and training is desirable but not essential.
