Hours: Three days - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (8.30am – 3.15pm)

St Michael’s Middle School is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who will support the Christian ethos of our school.

The successful applicant will be required to work three days - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (8.30am – 3.15pm), additional hours may be available.
At St Michael’s, we seek to recruit candidates who are able to think on their feet; are great team players with a positive “can do” attitude and conduct themselves in a professional manner with due regard to personal presentation.
The role is varied, involving work across the curriculum in both Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 supporting the academic and pastoral needs of our young people. This may include acting as a 1:1 TA for specific children with EHC Plans, and/or general support within a class dependent upon the ever-changing school needs. It would also be advantageous to your application if you are able to offer extra knowledge, skills or experience in:
1. Supporting English
2. Supporting Maths
3. Running speech and language programmes
4. Precision teaching
5. Autistic Spectrum Condition
6. ADHD
7. Knowledge and experience of working with children with Attachment Disorders
Experience of planning and running a small group of intervention is also highly desirable.
