Job Summary On behalf of our client we are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer looking for a new opportunity in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? You’ll be responsible for handling a variety of engineering tasks, from maintenance to process improvements, all while supporting a team that is committed to excellence. If you're passionate about problem-solving, improving efficiency, and making a real difference, this is the perfect opportunity for you Key Responsibilities: Operational Engineering: During your shift, you will carry out engineering tasks and collaborate with the production team to plan activities. Attend breakdowns, troubleshoot faults, and implement solutions with a "first-time fix" mentality. You'll document all tasks through the CMMS system and manage downtime with the shift supervisor. Planned Preventative Maintenance: Ensure machinery is always in optimal condition by carrying out scheduled maintenance. Document and track all maintenance activities, report any deficiencies to the Engineering Manager, and ensure equipment readiness for the next shift. Site & Engineering Systems Management: Uphold housekeeping standards, and ensure all activities comply with Health & Safety and site procedures. Conduct risk assessments to maintain safety standards. Colleague Development: Provide machine training for production staff, ensuring that all operatives are familiar with machine operations and efficiency. Support the team in ensuring SOPs are followed. Project Work: Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to drive improvements across operations, reduce costs, and enhance reliability. Participate in continuous improvement projects and major engineering initiatives. Shift Pattern: Rotating Shifts (Monday - Friday) Skills and Experience: Essential: At least 5 years’ experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within a fast-paced FMCG environment (preferably in food manufacturing). HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline (electrical maintenance preferred). NVQ Level 3 in engineering (or equivalent), with an electrical bias. Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills. A strong fix first-time mentality. What’s On Offer? Competitive salary of £55,000 per annum.
