About the Role
* To manage and provide an excellent school catering service, working in collaboration with and supervising a small team, determining and organising nutritional and exciting menus and maintaining stock levels.
* Understand and complete all compliance with Safer Foods Better Business and all other necessary checks and procedures.
* Ensure the School’s accountancy, documentation and administration procedures are carried out correctly and at the appropriate time – orders, stock control, risk assessments and Safer Food Better Business being the main ones.
* Maintain the legal standards of hygiene and safety and take any necessary action.
* Have an all-inclusive and solution-focused approach and the ability to positively manage the team to forge positive relationships and performance.
Personal Qualities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to line manage the team, forging positive relationships and modelling change with guidance from SLT C&G 706/1-2, 707/1-2 or NVQ level 3 or equivalent, or a willingness to gain this qualification. Understanding of and a Level 3 qualification in Food Hygiene or the willingness to work towards this.
