We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to join our team providing maintenance at fire stations across Merseyside. This role covers several locations across Merseyside for our client, Merseyside Fire & Rescue Services which is managed from our Bootle Helpdesk.
The role:
1. Reporting to the Operations Manager
2. To deliver electrical and mechanical planned and reactive maintenance and scheduled installation works
3. Apply relevant trade skills to any allocated jobs as directed
4. To order materials and services as required and update records
5. To integrate and communicate effectively with the mechanical engineering and fabric maintenance functions including contractors
6. To oversee specialist sub-contractors
7. To cover for other technicians as necessary in various buildings
8. Working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday with participation in the on-call rota as required
The person:
9. Must hold a recognised Electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical discipline with suitable industry experience; 18th Edition is desirable
10. Must hold and retain a current and valid driving licence
11. Must have experience of building services/maintenance
12. Experience in a FM and multi-site environment is desirable
13. Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
14. Good IT skills
15. Able to work on own initiative as well as within a team with a proactive, flexible, can-do attitude
16. Able to obtain Merseyside police vetting clearance
