Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in a nursery setting. This role requires a nurturing individual who is passionate about early childhood development and is committed to creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for young children.
Responsibilities
1. Provide attentive and responsive care to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
2. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
3. Support children's emotional and social development by encouraging positive interactions and fostering a sense of belonging.
4. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, communicating effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's achievements.
5. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive team environment, sharing ideas and best practices for child care.
6. Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and organised, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
7. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in early years education.
Requirements
1. A relevant qualification in childcare (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education).
2. Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting is desirable.
3. Strong understanding of child development principles and the Birth to Five Matters.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
5. A nurturing attitude with a genuine passion for working with young children.
6. Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
7. Enhanced DBS check will be required prior to employment.
8. SEN experience essential.

Pay: From £11.44 per hour
