Do you want to have a once-in-a-career opportunity to be part of the team setting up a brand new educational psychology department within the new Children’s Services Directorate at the Isle of Wight Council?
What will you be doing?
1. Be part of the team who will set up the Educational Psychology Service.
2. Be part of the strategic projects the Educational Psychology Service leads on.
3. Develop and apply knowledge and skills in assessment, monitoring, and tracking progress of children and young people with SEN.
4. Support in the development of developing and monitoring service planning, including KPI’s and statutory timeframes.
5. Be part of developing a traded offer.
6. Represent the EP Service within various meetings and partnerships.
7. Work with senior colleagues to drive forward the Education Strategy.
8. Work with senior colleagues to improve SEN provision across the Island and contribute towards our Safety Valve work.
9. Have a wide range of work including statutory and non-statutory work.
About you
1. A qualified Educational Psychologist.
2. Able to work as part of a team.
3. Ability to access face-to-face meetings locally.
4. High-quality verbal and written communication skills.
5. A commitment to ensuring children and young people across the Isle of Wight achieve their best outcomes and develop into independent adults.
