Field Service Engineer – Packaging Machinery Location: Home based covering UK (mainly North) £42k bonus, fully expensed vehicle, Pension, Private Health, mobile/laptop, life assurance and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and post-installation support of major packaging machinery and systems across the UK. You will also provide technical assistance, conduct performance trials, and deliver training to our valued customers. Key Responsibilities: Installation & Commissioning: Lead and assist in the setup and commissioning of advanced packaging machinery at client sites nationwide. Technical Support: Offer troubleshooting and post-installation support to ensure optimal machine performance. Training: Conduct operator and engineer training sessions to enhance customer proficiency with our equipment. Performance Trials: Execute and oversee machine performance evaluations post-installation. Collaboration: Work closely with field service engineers, the sales team, and the Service Engineering Manager to provide comprehensive technical support. Supplier Interaction: Coordinate with international technicians and representatives from our partner manufacturers during installations and issue resolution. Qualifications: Educational Background: Qualified to C&G/ONC level or possess a vocational equivalent in electro/mechanical engineering. Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of industrial machinery with a logical approach to fault diagnosis. Experience in installing and commissioning end-of-line packaging equipment is advantageous but not essential. PLC Proficiency: Demonstrable experience with PLC programming, particularly Siemens and Allen Bradley systems would be a definite advantage. Team & Leadership Skills: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take the lead on project installations when required.
