You will preferably have prior experience in a Primary Care setting with the ability to make professionally autonomous decisions. You will hold clinics for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems and make an assessment of their health care needs, based on highly-developed knowledge and skills, including skills such as physical examination, applied pharmacology and evidence-based prescribing. Essential Registered Nurse or Paramedic with additional Masters level Advanced Practice qualification. Qualified Independent Prescriber. Previous experience working in Primary Care. Competent in the use of EMIS. Experience with audit and able to lead audit programmes. Experience with clinical risk management. 6 months post qualification experience working in primary care. Qualified independent prescriber able to undertake medication reviews. Desirable Minor Illness qualification. Teaching Qualification. Triage experience. Experience of working in primary care/out of hours clinic.
