Exciting Opportunity for HGV Class 2 Driver with Highways Experience in Leicester
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HGV Class 2 Driver with highways experience to join my client's operations team in Leicester. This role involves undertaking safe and timely deliveries of materials and equipment, supporting essential highway maintenance and infrastructure projects across the region.
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be a key part of the on-the-ground team, ensuring efficient logistics and compliance with safety regulations. This role requires reliability, a strong awareness of road safety, and a proactive attitude to supporting field operations.
The main duties of the HGV Class 2 Driver are:
·Operate a Class 2 vehicle for multi-drop deliveries and collections, including highways materials and tools.
·Ensure all loads are correctly secured and handled safely.
·Carry out daily vehicle checks and routine maintenance tasks.
·Adhere to legal requirements and follow company and client procedures at all times.
·Support the team with equipment deliveries to live worksites.
·Maintain delivery records and communicate clearly with dispatch and site teams.
The HGV Class 2 Driver will have key experience in:
·A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence with CPC and Digital Tachograph.
·Previous experience in highways or construction-related deliveries.
·A good understanding of transport legislation and site safety requirements.
·The ability to work independently with strong time-management skills.
·Good communication and customer service skills.
·Flexibility to support out-of-hours work when required.
