Job responsibilities Job Summary To offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone. To facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies. To undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice. Job Responsibilities Manage the various appointments, visits and care navigation in line with protocol. Computer data entry, processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures. Deal with telephone and face to face enquiries from the general public. Make and cancel appointments with all clinicians as required File all correspondence as necessary Open internal and external post Scan documents and forward them to the relevant staff Photocopying Change name / address details Any other duties relevant to the grading of the post Quality Alert other team members to issues of quality and risk Assess own performance and take accountability for own actions. Contribute to the effectiveness of the team. Effectively manage own time, workload and resources.
