I am looking for a special person to manage a friendly 40 bedded care home situated in a pleasant residential area of Newtown conveniently close to a local bus route, with shops nearby.
The relaxed environment means residents feel right at home and the surrounding gardens are beautifully kept, with wheelchair access throughout as well as a pretty courtyard and patio.
This job will involve:
• Work together with your colleagues to ensure that the physical, social, psychological and emotional needs of service users are met
• Develop and implement evidence based individualised care packages, therapeutic interventions, and individualised activity programmes
• Lead and supervise the support and nursing teams to deliver the highest standards of person-centred care
• Provide the very best levels of care and support to ensure that personal hygiene needs are met, (washing, dressing, bathing, using the toilet
• Ensure that all procedures are carried out to the highest of standards and optimising the wellbeing of every resident
For this role you will need:
• QCF Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care
• Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or Team Leader in a residential Home
• A good working knowledge of CIW standards and the Health and Social Act 2008
• Experience of supporting the elderly
• A strong knowledge of person-centred care
