Reporting to the firm's Board of Directors and CEO, the successful Legal Practice Manager will handle a diverse and challenging workload to facilitate the delivery of the firm's legal services. Ideally, you will have worked for a Legal Practice Manager in a busy environment. The client is open to discussing hybrid working and ideally looking for relatively local applicants. Practice Manager duties: Management of the Finance Department and reception staff. Day-to-day and annual responsibility for the company's accounts, including VAT, Corporation Tax Advising on regulatory compliance including SRA, AML and SARs. Organising the company insurance, accreditations and practice certificate renewals. Attend board meetings. Negotiating with third party suppliers and developing organisational and performance systems. Project Management. Internal training. Drafting and reviewing policies. Oversee Payroll. Organising company insurances. Team appraisals. To provide support to the team concerning the software/systems, including P4W, Bundledocx, legal ID checks, PeopleHR, Formshare, etc. Skills and Experience The Legal Practice Manager should have the following attributes: Previous experience of a legal or professional service environment. A commanding knowledge of solicitor accounts rules and an overview of the general obligations of the SRA Handbook. A comprehensive understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting. Ability to handle confidential information. Able to work to deadlines.
