We have a fantastic opportunity for the role of a Quality Engineer FTC reporting to the UK Operations Quality Manager. As the Quality Engineer you will be supporting the up-keep and continuous improvement of the company Quality Management System, provide day to day shop floor support in improving manufacturing/operational processes and manage the non-conformance and correct action process.
The role is located at our headquarters within Slough site. Working Monday to Friday during normal office hours (hybrid). This role is a Fixed Term Contract.

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to)
* Point of contact for day-to-day quality issues
* Lead daily material review meetings with cross-functional teams
* Review internal non-conformances and customer complaints and close in a timely manner
* Investigate problems to identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions
* Prepare customer certification dossiers and document packs prior to release of product
* Maintain KPI data/charts and monitor trends to identify improvement activities and reduce Cost of Poor Quality
* Carry out internal audits to the UK audit schedule and facilitate closure of non-conformities
* Provide support in external audits (Certification body/Customer/Supplier)
* Create rejection documents/notifications and assist with concessions applications
* Work closely with other Quality Engineers and Operational Departments in resolution of quality issues
* Work on Continuous Improvement initiatives/projects as identified by the Quality Manager
Provide other QA support as relevant for the role
Qualifications
* Working knowledge of ISO9001 QMS standard; knowledge of AS9100 Aerospace standard would be an advanatge
* Strong problem solving skills and hands on experience of Root Cause Analysis preferbaly gained in a manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of various quality tools 8D, PFMEA, Gauge R&R, Lean methodologies etc.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
* Good organisational skills
* Internal auditing certificate would be an advantage
* Degree/HND qualified in Science/Engineering/QA or equivalent
