As the Site Champion, you will be responsible for overseeing systems, audit programs, and ensuring compliance with customer, industry, and legal codes of practice and standards. You will serve as the custodian of the site's Quality Management System (QMS), driving and developing rigorous compliance standards throughout the factory, from supplier intake to finished product on the production lines. Additionally, you will manage the intake of raw materials delivered to the site. Your role will also encompass overseeing the site's technical service operations, ensuring performance meets internal and external key performance indicators (KPIs) for both the site and its customers. Salary Range: £30,000 - £35,000 per year Supports the Technical Manager in establishing food allergen management protocols compliant with internal and external standards. Manages internal audit programs and training; ensures standards are applied down to the factory line level. Develops a clear compliance framework, ensuring consistent, “audit-ready” standards. Acts as the site expert on food law and legal compliance; stays updated on new regulations and aligns them with group policies. Leads the management of customer specifications and document control, familiar with retailer compliance platforms. Ensures testing frequencies for customers are met and maintains detailed logs of product and environmental tests. Oversees environmental sampling and ensures swabbing is done according to schedules, updating them as needed. Summarizes and trends routine test data for the Technical Manager and provides it to customers when required. Reports out-of-specification test results promptly and ensures corrective actions are recorded. Manages and controls customer Certificates of Conformance/Analysis. Ensures allergen risk assessments are up to date and compliant with industry and customer standards. Implements the Quality Management System (QMS) to reflect the latest legal and customer requirements, including line-level procedures and training. BSc. Food related subject/or science degree with relevant food experience (Advantageous) Minimum of 3 years chilled food industry experience with demonstrable record/impact on audit success.
