Overview of job
Global Outdoor operates across the environments of roadside, bus, rail, and airports during its day-to-day operations in the Regional Delivery Team. The Regional Delivery Director role is critical to ensure a strong safety, quality, and commercial track record is both maintained and developed within this team. Global’s ambition is to deliver advertising estates underpinned by World Class standards and performance across Safety, Efficiency, Resilience, Viability, Innovation, Carbon reduction, and Excellence.
To meet these objectives and challenges, the Regional Delivery Director will have overarching responsibility for all major operational activities Global undertakes across our Roadside, Bus, Airport, and Rail estates. In addition, the role requires the successful operational management of the three major regional warehouses in Glasgow, Birmingham, and Manchester, as well as their extended hubs that service the bus operation of Global. Leading teams across four geographic regions, the Regional Delivery Director will build a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence within the team.
The role has both a strong presence across the Global organisation as well as with Global’s major operational supply partners. The role is to deliver World Class standards and be seen as industry-leading in our field – setting new levels of performance and benchmark standards. The role will need to be highly visible within the geographic regions and for the successful person to be active with a range of internal and external stakeholders. The role will also need to be a key driver of the uptake and enhancement of Global’s new technology systems within operations and to be a lead advocate for testing and implementing these. Whilst being a figurehead role, it is not a pure “head office” role – it is very much a senior leadership role across the whole of the country.

Responsibilities of the role
* Overall performance management of the four Regional Delivery regions.
* Annual budget setting and adherence management.
* Overall Regional Delivery contractor and key supplier contract management.
* Successful cycle performance of Regional Delivery posting operations.
* Driving a culture of continual improvement within the team.
* Successful delivery of maintenance operations by supplier base, working in conjunction with Global’s Maintenance Team.
* Key external partner management and being the senior operational contact to these (for example – Network Rail, FirstGroup, etc.).
* Health and Safety management, working with Global’s HSEQ team to devise and deliver initiatives following trend analysis.
* Managing incident escalation, investigation, and reporting.
* Ownership of Regional Delivery’s Integrated Management System.
* Ensuring delivery of third-party partner/contractor assurance and auditing by the team.
* Managing and ensuring that Global’s supply chain adheres to our Safety, Quality, and Environment expectations and obligations.

Qualification and Knowledge across:
* IOSH Managing Safely
* Outdoor Operations, preferably with substantial rail, roadside, and airport environment knowledge.
* Budgeting experience
* Supplier and procurement management experience.
