SEN Teacher Job Description
We are looking for an outstanding SEN Teacher to join the Ashley Park School team.
About the Role:
You will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupils' achievement and ability to develop.
Purpose of Job:
* To secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the Headteacher/Senior Lead for Curriculum and Learning.
* To teach a range of skills and techniques as necessary to ensure the effective delivery of the school's curriculum.
* Support the development of the provision that has a whole school impact.
Knowledge and Understanding:
* Strategies that relate to the education and personal development of SEN pupils including effective behaviour management techniques and opportunities to praise and reward.
* Implementing a school's vision, aims, priorities, targets, curriculum policies and action plans in relation to classroom practice.
* Statutory curriculum requirements and the requirements for assessment, recording and reporting of pupils' attainment and progress.
* The characteristics of high-quality teaching and learning as well as strategies to improve and sustain high standards of teaching and learning leading to achievement for all pupils.
* The implications of the code of practice of special educational needs for teaching and learning.
