We are currently looking for a Clerk of Works to join our team. Covering the Oxford to Cambridge arc and working between home, the office and on site, you’ll undertake quality inspections of workmanship, material and design compliance along with design and specification assessments, advising of any matters not in accordance with our requirements or good building practice.
What you will be doing:
1. Undertaking compliance inspections and providing detailed reports with photographs and negotiating to correct any site issues
2. Providing comments on the build ability of contractors design / specification feedback
3. Completing all data collection information and liaising with the appropriate colleagues to ensure the information is passed on correctly
4. Issuing reports on progress and any issues to be resolved
5. Coordinating timely snagging and back snagging inspections, carrying out all duties as required to achieve a successful handover of the properties
We’d love to meet someone with:
6. Sound construction technical knowledge with experience of working as a Site Manager
7. Time served building trade apprenticeship or equivalent
8. Good understanding of Building Regulations, NHBC standards or equivalent
9. Excellent organisational skills and a methodical approach
10. Strong customer service skills
11. The ability to liaise in a non-confrontational style in order to resolve any issues on site or post completion
