You will influence patient care through clinical practice, clinical management, leadership, education, research and audit in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. This will include delivering the supportive care requirements for patients with colorectal cancer as well as undertaking and developing the risk stratified cancer follow up programme. As part of this you will be required to support the identification of appropriate patients, the monitoring of these patients and ensuring that the surveillance scans and colonoscopies are booked at timely intervals and results are acted upon. Communication of complex and sensitive information is a core element of this role.
