Staff Nurse - Day Surgery/ELIPSE Unit (Band 5)
We have an excellent opportunity for qualified Band 5 Staff Nurses to join the Day Surgery Team. We are very proud of the high level of care we provide to our patients, which is reflected in our patient feedback.
We provide pre and post-operative care to patients undergoing General Surgery, Urology, Dental, ENT, Orthopaedic, Gynaecology, Cardiology, Vascular, and Breast Surgery, as well as acute surgical and trauma patients. We also treat patients under the care of the Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, and Neurological Teams.
The ward operates from 07:00 to 20:00, Monday to Friday (Saturday working may be required).
As the successful applicant, you will have experience working within an acute hospital setting, be adaptable, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and meet changing working patterns and caseloads, working independently as well as within the team. You will also possess good IT skills.
You will enjoy good support and supervision from the ward team, have a commitment to CPD, and the opportunity to work with our friendly and enthusiastic team.
If you have these skills and can work as a team and independently, we want to hear from you. The successful applicant will be expected to work variable shifts, and staff must be flexible with shifts to enhance the care we provide.
