Job Description As the UK Benefits Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in designing meaningful benefits for our UK Associates that are well understood, appreciated and utilized and will run them in the right way. You will be responsible for pension, life assurance, income protection, private medical healthcare and disability benefits for over 3,000 UK based Mars associates. This role is responsible for line managing the Benefits Executive and the Divisional Co-Ordinator and reports to the Mars UK Benefits Director. What are we looking for? You will have knowledge of UK benefits with an extensive experience in core UK pensions, including knowledge of defined benefit pension schemes. You will be an accomplished communicator with strong numeracy and digital skills. You should be keen to use digital tools to drive efficiency, value and insight for processes and tasks involved in the delivery of benefits. You will have the self-confidence, authority and communication skills to ensure the appropriate engagement and buy in from others. You will have a degree or similar experience and can demonstrate a successful work/benefits career track record. What will be your key responsibilities? You will be responsible for the relationship between the company, the pension trustees and a range of external technical and benefits suppliers. You will also collaborate with other Mars functions including payroll, finance, HR, Rewards and senior business leaders. You will have budget management responsibility and will scrutinize statements of work from external service providers, whilst monitoring progress against budget, using judgement and taking appropriate action where required. You will have a key focus on managing the governance, compliance and outsourced administration of the Mars UK pension arrangements. These arrangements encompass a mature, large final salary pension plan and a fast-growing section of a well-known Master Trust. Other specific responsibilities include: Managing or overseeing all aspects of trustee and committee meetings. The review and maintenance of all governance documents. Maintaining the relationship with the outsourced pension administrators. Overseeing pension high earner and capping processes and handling complex member queries. Engaging with regulatory bodies.
