Project Manager
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, on time, and within budget. This role involves planning, executing, monitoring, and managing cross-functional teams, addressing challenges, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
You should bring proven expertise in project management, adaptability across various industries and project types, and a strong ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve outstanding results and exceptional customer experiences. While responsibilities may vary based on experience, all Project Managers are expected to excel in the following areas:
* Project Planning
o Define project scopes, objectives, and comprehensive plans.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to establish priorities and deliverables.
o Identify resource requirements and manage their allocation effectively.
* Execution and Monitoring
o Lead cross-functional project teams and oversee activities.
o Track progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
o Ensure deliverables meet or exceed quality standards.
* Stakeholder Management
o Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and milestones.
o Build strong relationships and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
o Address concerns and manage expectations proactively.
* Budget and Resource Management
o Monitor and control project budgets to stay within financial limits.
o Optimize resource utilization and adjust plans as needed.
* Documentation and Reporting
o Maintain accurate project records for compliance and reference.
o Prepare and deliver detailed updates and performance reports to leadership.
* Subject Matter Expertise
o Utilize domain-specific knowledge to inform project decisions.
o Apply industry best practices and standards tailored to the project’s needs.
What you bring
* Education and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree, with strong preference for certifications such as PMP, Prince2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, or Agile.
* Experience: Proven expertise and success in project management, including a track record of delivering medium-scale projects effectively.
* Key Skills: Skilled in risk management, stakeholder alignment, and adaptive leadership. Proficient in using project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, or Asana.
* Subject Matter Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of industry-specific challenges, with hands-on experience leading medium-scale projects in areas like software development, business unit transformations, or infrastructure upgrades.
* Budget Management: Capable of managing project budgets ranging from £250K to £1m.
* Supervision Level: Operates independently while providing mentorship and guidance to Junior Project Managers or team members.
* Project Scope: Successfully oversees mid-scale projects or manages multiple smaller initiatives concurrently.
