ASSISTANT MERCHANDISER up to £30k
ONLINE FASHION BRAND
HYBRID ROLE (3 days in office / 2 days from home)
Our client is a rapidly expanding online fashion brand experiencing strong growth and is looking to recruit an experienced online Junior Merchandiser to support their Head of Merchandising and contribute to the growth. The successful candidate will have at least 2+ years’ experience in online merchandising for a successful online fashion brand and have strong Excel and analytical skills.
The Role:
1. Support in developing and executing seasonal assortment plans for collections.
2. WSSI reporting.
3. Use data to optimize sales volume and profitability of products.
4. Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing overstock or stockouts.
5. Generate and analyze reports to track sell-through rates and recommend action plans.
6. Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to facilitate smooth order fulfillment.
7. Assist in pricing strategies and markdown plans, ensuring competitive pricing while maximizing profitability.
8. Assist in the development of sales forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and promotional activities.
9. Monitor actual sales performance against forecasts and adjust plans accordingly.
10. Regularly review and update pricing information on the online platform.
11. Conduct regular market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior.
12. Work to the critical path.
Skills Required:
1. Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Buying, or a related field.
2. Previous experience in a merchandising or assistant merchandising role is preferred for an online fashion brand.
3. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
4. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
5. Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and trends in online fashion.
6. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Salary: up to £35k depending upon experience.
