Job Description:
We are seeking a talented newly qualified team member to join our Private Tax team in London, which is responsible for delivering annual tax compliance and planning work for a wide-ranging portfolio of Trust clients.
As an Assistant Manager, you will be part of the delivery team that works on client compliance and client planning work as well as yearly routine checks and practice development. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified tax professional to build their career in a growing and supportive team.
As Trust Assistant Manager your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering high quality service to a portfolio of Trust clients
* Ensuring administration of the portfolio is completed including all aspects of compliance, accounts, tax returns and tax computations
* Identifying possible planning opportunities
* Preparation of reports for clients
* Answering client ad-hoc questions and enquiries in respect of the trust tax affairs
To be successful in this role, you should:
* Have the ability to manage workload in order to prioritise work to meet conflicting deadlines
* Possess good written communication skills to draft correspondence with clients and HMRC to explain technical issues in an easily understandable manner
* Have good inter-personal skills to liaise with clients and other staff members
* Be able to meet deadlines and respond to client needs
* Provide support to supervise staff members below and support Directors above
Education and Qualifications:
* ACA/ CTA / STEP or equivalent qualification (Preferred)
Experience and Skills:
* Experience gained within a professional services firm
* Good knowledge of personal tax compliance and ideally some exposure to planning/advisory work
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Good inter-personal skills to liaise with clients and other staff members
