We are recruiting for an experienced Product Manager (Mechanical) to join our well-established and successful team. The role of the Product Manager (Mechanical) involves the maintenance and development of the existing range of mechanical products currently in our portfolio, ensuring high competitiveness of our instruments in the market.
The responsibilities of the Product Manager (Mechanical) include:
1. Working in a team, owning the projects agreed in coordination with the manager, for the development of specials and new products, driving the activities of the other teams involved in the project to reach targets within fixed deadlines.
2. Ensuring that the products under their responsibility have all necessary technical and commercial documentation and supporting the Responsible for Certification in renewing associated certificates, keeping them updated.
3. Providing technical support to the sales and marketing teams to promote sales of the products and increase customer demand.
4. Setting, planning, and conducting training sessions for other departments according to team needs.
5. Setting the yearly pricelist.
6. Providing technical support for customer queries.
7. Monitoring the cost and quality of the products under their responsibility.
To be successful, you must have the following skills and experience:
1. A Degree or HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Experience working in conjunction or within a sales department.
3. A proactive approach to product development tasks.
4. Knowledge of standards (ASME/EN), norms, and directives applicable to mechanical products.
5. Availability to travel abroad when necessary.
Ideally, you should also have the following, although they are not essential requirements:
1. Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and main Microsoft tools.
2. Experience in the Process Control Instrumentation market.
3. Knowledge of protection modes for Hazardous Area applications.
4. Experience in an associated industry for 5-10 years.
5. Experience working for a manufacturer of instrumentation.
